My TBR all nice and stacked all pretty |
HELLO fellow readers today I'm just going to do a quick little update post on what's been happening with my booktube-a-thon so far! It's been really really fun, and I'm so glad I am participating again!
As of right now, I have read a grand total of.....
881 PAGES *CROADS ROARING* YES I am SO pleased that I have read this much, and I am so excited to keep reading and reading for the rest of the week. I thought that I would quickly talk about the books that I have read so far....
The SECOND book that I completed was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. I FLEW through this novel, and I did enjoy it as well. It wasn't a very complicated story, and it was very much one dimensional because Christopher doesn't really understand emotions (which is discussed a lot in the novel.) It felt very personal as well, because since it was a book where the main character is supposedly writing the book, as opposed to a narrative where we see the world from their point of view.
The novel that I am CURRENTLY READING is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and this will complete the book to movie adaptation challenge. The way this book is written is similar to the Curious Incident because it is written in letters where the main character is telling the story. So the voices of Charlie and of Christopher are somewhat similar, though the stories are really quite different. Charlie is also kind of awkward and he is reminding me of Christopher in that sense. But that's about as far as similarities go.
The next three books are the Chaos Walking Trilogy. I plan on finishing Perks tonight and then starting Chaos Walking tomorrow and reading those until Monday.

SECOND ORDER OF BUSINESS
Today I filmed a video update for the BookTube-A-Thon challenge! The challenge today was from Jessethereader and it was to do an interpretive dance based on a book. I deviated from the original challenge a bit, because I have many weird and interesting things on my shelf that I wanted to share and dance with. So ... this happened? If you saw my twitter, you saw my stressful tweets as my video struggled to upload. BUT I think that I got it, so here, for you to watch, is my day 3 video, enjoy!
