More About Me

Hey there! My name is Brittany! Welcome to The Library of Brittany. I started this blog to be able to share my thoughts on all the books that I read.... and there are a lot (thoughts AND books). I'm hoping to post three days a week in the summer, and once every week during the school year.

Anyways, since this is a MORE about me page, I figured I'd share some interesting facts about me:

Fact #1. I love books... and reading... wow shocker. Alright, let's keep going

Fact #2. I ALSO love theater. I've been in several productions with a local young people's theater, the most recent being Shrek The Musical where I played SEVERAL different characters. My favourite role I've ever had was Penny Lou Pingleton in Hairspray. 

Alright I could only think of two fun facts SO I've decided to answer some of my favourite questions from this tag (I think it's the 100 Random Questions tag from Youtube) Enjoy:) 

1:Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?

Closed.

2:Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

Doesn’t everybody????

3:Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

Tucked in because I suffer from being extremely freaking cold in my sleep.

5:Do you like to use post-it notes?

Take a quick look at any of the books I’ve ever studied and the answer is clear (yes).

8:Do you have freckles?

Not the cute kind. Just some random ones on my arms.

9:Do you always smile for pictures?

YesJ

11:Do you ever count your steps when you walk?

Walking from the first floor of my school to the top is about 700000 steps.

14:Do you ever dance even if there's no music playing?

I’m dancing right now.

18:What is your Song of the week?

Latch by Disclosure ft. Sam Smith because I’m at my cottage and we've listened to it about 10000 times. Also Mambo #5.

20:Do you still watch cartoons?

I will when they’re on!

22:Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?

If I told you, that would make me a very crappy pirate.

24:What do you dip a chicken nugget in?

A combination of plum sauce and ketchup. Don’t knock it ‘til ya try it.

Trinidadian food because it makes me think of my family (because we’re Trinidadian)
26:What movies could you watch over and over and still love?

The Back to The Future trilogy, Wreck-it Ralph, The Incredibles, Ace Ventura, Finding Nemo, Mean Girls, and Easy A.

30:When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?

Written, but never sent. Otherwise, one I sent to my friend who lives a few hours away.

BLT

35:Best thing to eat for breakfast?

PANCAKES

38:When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?

Okay so Fun Fact #3, Halloween is my favourite holiday ever. I wanted to take advantage of it every year, so I was never a kid that repeated a costume for years. I always made my costumes and they were always different. Some of my favourites include: Violet from The Incredibles, a 50s chick, a zombie princess, an angel, the Mad Hatter, Tiger Lilly.

39:What is your Chinese astrological sign?

The Tiger

40:How many languages can you speak?

Deux

43:Are you stubborn?

NO!.... yes

45:Ever watch soap operas?

My grandma loves Y&R so yeah.

46:Are you afraid of heights?

Heck no! I DESPERATELY want to be able to fly, that would be so rad!

47:Do you sing in the car?

I’m singing right now.

48:Do you sing in the shower?

Re: Q 47. I sing everywhere. I’m a theatre kid, IT’S WHAT WE DO.

49:Do you dance in the car?

I believe you’re referring to the sophisticated art of Car Dancing, with which I am well acquainted.

50:Ever used a gun?

Yes actually!

51:Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?

My Mom’s a photographer, and she takes my picture a bunch!

52:Do you think musicals are cheesy?

RENT poster in my room!

This is a loaded question because some musicals (Shrek, Hairspray, High School Musical, A Very Potter Musical, The Music Man, Grease) ARE cheesy, but because it works! But then you have some other musicals (RENT, Once, Next to Normal) that aren’t as cheesy, but just as awesome. I think, in general, bursting into song and dance IS cheesy, but sometimes it works so wonderfully with the story. Loaded answer for a loaded question. But I’m a theatre kid, what else did you expect?????

54:Ever eat a pierogi?

YES those things are HELLA rad.

55:Favorite type of fruit pie?

Apple

56:Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?

Mermaid

57:Do you believe in ghosts?

Do you?

58:Ever have a Deja-vu feeling?

63:First concert?

I think it was Selena Gomez!

69:Ever take dance lessons?

Yes! I take tap and jazz currently. In the past I’ve taken acro, ballet, tap, and jazz.

71:Can you curl your tongue?

Into a three leaf clover.

73:Have you ever cried because you were so happy?

Yes

74:Own any record albums?

My mom owns a bunch, and I have the Grease soundtrack.

75:Own a record player?

NO but my mom wants one really really badly to play all the aforementioned records.

78:Who would you like to see in concert?

I REALLY REALLLLLYYY would LOVE to see Vampire Weekend in concert! That would be AMAZING! And the Foo Fighters, because my dad and I both love them.

Megan and Liz! And I met them, which was AMAZING

83:Can you swim well?

Yes, I’m hoping to be a lifeguard

84:Can you hold your breath without holding your nose?

Yes

86:DJ or band, at a wedding?

I’ve never been to a wedding with a live band, so I guess I’d have to say DJ. I feel like a DJ could also cater to various music tastes and everybody would have more fun.

87:Ever won a contest?

Not personally. I got to reap the benefits of winning a contest once though! My friend Emma won tickets to the Toronto premiere of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie last summer and she picked me as her guest which was aweseome! So I kind of won by association.

ALL OF THEM. I get cold a lot

I honestly don’t know.

99:Do you miss anyone right now?

Yes actually, I miss a lot of my cast mates from Shrek whom I haven’t seen for a while!
